We will see an “intense exchange” between Rhodes and Reigns on SmackDown

WWE has made a few additions to the card for Smash this evening (September 20).

The big event is a segment between WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and the man he has been chasing for nearly two years, Roman Reigns. The OTC has confirmed himself as Rhodes’ tag partner against The Bloodline at Bad blood in a few weeks, but it is obviously a difficult alliance.

As a result of last week’s news, something apparently went down at Roman’s alma mater, Georgia Tech. Cody is from Georgia, so he didn’t have to drive far from his home in Marietta to Atlanta, where Tech is. WWE tells us the distrustful teammates had an “intense conversation” when they met there, and we’ll see it tonight.

Watch the intense exchange between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns in full after two of WWE’s biggest Superstars met at Georgia Tech

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns met last night at Georgia Tech, Reigns’ alma mater in the heart of Rhodes’ hometown of Atlanta. This will also be the site of their epic tag team showdown against Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu at WWE Bad Blood on October 5.

SmackDown cameras were on hand to capture the intense conversation between two of WWE’s biggest stars. Find out what the unlikely duo had to say to each other ahead of their match against The Bloodline when their (epic) meeting airs in full tonight on SmackDown on USA at 8/7 C.

Also set to make one more appearance on the show is Giovanni Vinci. The former Empire member will face Apollo Crews again, two weeks after he returned and lost to Crews in embarrassing (and reportedly controversial) fashion.

Here’s an updated look at the card for tonight’s show from Sacramento, California:

  • LA Knight (c) vs. Andrade for the US Championship
  • Bayley & Naomi vs. Nia Jax & Tiffany Stratton; if Bayley & Naomi win, the one who gets the pin will challenge Jax for the WWE Women’s Title at Bad Blood. If they lose, the one who gets the pin will have to leave SmackDown.
  • Footage of Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns meeting at Georgia Tech
  • Apollo Crews vs. Giovanni Vinci

Sounds like the makings of a good episode of Smash to you?
