MINNEAPOLIS – The University of Minnesota women’s basketball conference schedule for 2024-25 has been officially unveiled by the Big Ten Conference, as announced Thursday on B1G Today. The conference schedule includes nine home games and nine road games, which begins for the Maroon and Gold on Dec. 8 against Nebraska.
Fans can secure their seats for all of the team’s home games by purchasing season tickets at GopherSports.com. Single game tickets will be available for season ticket holders beginning at 9 a.m. on September 24 and for Gopher Score beginning at 1 p.m. The public can purchase single game tickets beginning at 9 a.m. on September 26. Additionally, kickoff times, TV/streaming coverage and a full promotions schedule will be announced at a later date.
A total of nine of Minnesota’s 18 Big Ten games will be against teams in the 2024 NCAA Tournament, three of them at home. Minnesota’s conference season begins with three matchups in December, with the first being a road game on Dec. 8 against the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Twenty days later, on Dec. 28, Minnesota will play its first Big Ten home game of the season against the Nittany Lions of Penn State, then travel to Wisconsin to conclude the 2024 calendar year on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31.
The U’s have a total of seven Big Ten games scheduled in January, starting with home games against Illinois and Rutgers on January 5 and 8. Maryland hosts the Gophers on January 14, and just five days later, on January 19, Northwestern hosts Minnesota in Evanston.
Minnesota returns home on Jan. 22 to face the Michigan Wolverines. The second Border Battle matchup with Wisconsin is set for Jan. 26 at Williams Arena. The month of January will be capped off with the program’s first road trip to Southern California, where it will face USC on Jan. 30. The Gophers will stay in the state of California to face UCLA just days later on Feb. 2.
After returning home, Minnesota will have home games against two NCAA tournament teams, Iowa and Indiana. The Hawkeyes game is scheduled for Feb. 6, and the Hoosiers come to the Barn on Feb. 9.
The Golden Gophers travel to Columbus, Ohio to face the Buckeyes on February 13. Oregon follows in the Twin Cities on February 16. The month of February then ends with an away game against Purdue on the 19th and then a home game against Washington on February 26.
The regular season for Minnesota ends on March 1 with an away game against the Michigan State Spartans.
