This week, Jeff Hardy made waves on social media when fans shared a striking photo of him wearing Bray Wyatt/Fiend-inspired face paint during the recent TNA Impact Wrestling tapings.
A few years ago, Matt Hardy worked closely with Bray during their time as a team in WWE. On the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, Matt talked about Jeff’s decision to wear the face paint.
“Absolutely, it was completely inspired by The Fiend’s mask.” Jeff remarked, “Hey, do you think that would be awesome if I did it, you know, as a tribute?” I said, “Absolutely, that would be awesome.” It sounds amazing! Your face paint would look absolutely amazing! He’s created some pieces that are quite skeletal and would fit perfectly with the upcoming Halloween season. He said, “I want to try and make that happen,” and it was exactly the same. It was really impressive that Jeff took the time to pay his respects and honor The Fiend at TNA Impact.
