Good morning and happy Friday! It’s warm and humid outside, with temperatures this morning at 21 degrees. Today will stay warm, with the final day at 32 degrees. We’ll be monitoring the chance of rain as we prepare for the weekend.
Hot, above average Friday
Temperatures will rise below 35 degrees this afternoon in sunny and cloudy weather. The north wind will blow at 8-16 km/h.
Tonight it will be cloudy before it rains again. Temperatures will fall below 25 degrees.
Weekend forecast
Showers and thunderstorms will move through this weekend. The high pressure system that has kept us hot and mostly dry will move south. This could bring unsettled weather that will bring showers on both Saturday and Sunday. Mizzou’s home game could be wet, so be sure to bring a rain jacket!
When it’s all over, most of Mid-Missouri will have received over 1″ of rainfall where heavier rains have developed, possibly more. I can’t rule out a few isolated severe storms on Sunday, but overall little to no severe weather is expected.
Temperatures will also begin to cool down this weekend. On Saturday temperatures will rise to over 30 degrees and on Sunday to below 25 degrees.
Fall officially begins on Sunday at 7:44 a.m.
Temperatures next year will be around 21 degrees Celsius depending on the season.
