Not wanting to be outdone by Amazon’s recent press release confirming the date of its Prime Day sale in October, Walmart has announced that it will launch a competing sale on October 8. This is the same date as Amazon’s “Prime Big Deal Days” sale, which means Really Both retailers offer good discounts.

Walmart’s “Deals” sale begins at noon ET on Tuesday, October 8, and Walmart Plus members get early access starting at noon ET. While details are few, Walmart’s website promises savings of up to 60% on tech, toys, kitchen appliances, vacuums, clothing, luggage and candles.

Walmart’s Competing Deals sale is no surprise, as the retailer has always run a competing sale as far back as I can remember. You can usually find discounts from popular brands like Apple, Bissell, LG, Keurig and Ninja, as well as exclusive deals on TVs, gaming consoles and kitchen appliances.

What makes Walmart’s sale different from Amazon Prime Day is that no membership is required. Anyone can shop Walmart’s Deals Sale, but Walmart Plus members get early access, which may be worth your while to secure some of the hottest deals.
