Sean Diddy Combs News: Sean Diddy Combs placed on suicide watch after arrest in sex trafficking case | World News

Hip-hop mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been placed on suicide watch in Brooklyn. Municipal remand prison (MDC) while he is awaiting trial, he is awaiting trial for Sex trafficking People Magazine reported, citing sources, that further charges had been filed.
Combs, 54, was transferred to MDC on Sept. 17 after pleading not guilty and being denied bail twice. While it is unclear whether he is suicidal, the report said the monitoring is a precautionary measure due to his shock and unstable mental state. The Justice Department’s National Institute of Corrections defines monitoring as “supervision measures implemented for inmates at risk of suicide and requiring regular monitoring.”
Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo had previously requested that the rapper be transferred to a facility in Essex County, New Jersey, but the final decision rests with the Bureau of Prisons.
There are currently 1,600 inmates at the MDC, many of them awaiting trial. The facility is known for its dangers and understaffing, and several deaths and suicides have been reported. According to The Daily Beast, Combs’ legal team stated that “several courts in this district have recognized that conditions at the Metropolitan Detention Center are unsuitable for pretrial detention.” They added, “Just last summer, an inmate was murdered. In the last three years, at least four inmates have committed suicide.”
Diddy was arrested on the night of September 16 on charges of sex trafficking, blackmail Conspiracy and transportation for the purpose of prostitution.

According to the indictment filed by the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Southern District of New York, Combs organized events called “freak offs” during which he allegedly drugged and forced victims to engage in prolonged sexual acts with male sex workers. These events, described as elaborate sex performances, reportedly occurred regularly and sometimes lasted several days. Prosecutors allege Combs used his fame, influence and drugs to coerce women into participating, and some of these events were recorded without the victims’ consent. In March, federal investigators seized three AR-15 rifles and 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant from his homes in Miami and Los Angeles. The indictment did not specify the dates or number of victims involved.
