Another trip to Gotham, this time in the company of the Penguin – one of the Batman universe’s most compelling villains, played here by a prosthetic-laden Colin Farrell. It’s a moody and sinister affair – after the death of a mob boss, the Penguin tries to infiltrate his family. Farrell’s Penguin is ruthless, but also has a certain underlying warmth, as shown by his decision to take stuttering street gangster Victor (the excellent Rhenzy Feliz) under his wing. Phil Harrison
