Viewers can’t believe the “crazy” and “insane” streak of bad luck in the “Wheel of Fortune” episode “What Are the Odds”

Wheel of Fortune Viewers could hardly believe how unlucky three contestants were during an episode of the show that aired on Wednesday, September 18.

Occasional spins that end up “bankrupt” or “losing a spin” on the wedges are to be expected. But Brent, Tanya And Melissa During one segment of Wednesday’s show, they hit those marks again and again. The three contestants landed on “bankrupt” in three consecutive rounds, prompting the co-host to Ryan Seacrest to ask, “Should we talk to this bike?” Seacrest looked down at the bike and jokingly asked, “What are you doing to us?”

Brent was next and landed on “lose a turn.” While Tanijah’s next spin allowed her to guess a letter, she landed on “bankrupt” again immediately afterward, as did Melissa on her subsequent spin.

“So, I’m new here,” said Seacrest, who celebrated his first episode as co-host of the long-running game show last week, after Pat Sajak Retirement. “I’ve never experienced anything like this before.”

The former American Idol The moderator then urged Brent to “break this curse,” but the next round again ended with “losing a round.”

“What’s going on?” Seacrest asked the co-host Vanna White“Please help me.” After another “bankrupt” spin, Seacrest briefly laid his head in his arms and laughed.

The long sequence of “bankruptcy” and “losing a round” spins sparked a conversation online as viewers wondered why it happened.

“This was definitely the worst streak of bad luck I’ve had on this wheel in a long time!” wrote one viewer on Reddit.

One Reddit user called the participants’ bad luck “crazy,” while another agreed: “That was crazy!! What are the chances of that happening so many times in a row?”

“It’s not even Friday the 13th and the wheel is cursed,” tweeted one person on X (formerly Twitter), while another X user said the game show “is rigged tonight!!”

The wheel “is the wheel of misfortune tonight,” explained one spectator.

“What a chaotic first round, my goodness,” remarked another spectator.
