LINCOLN, Nebraska (KOLN) – Above-average temperatures will continue across Nebraska on Tuesday. Windy and muggy weather is also expected. As for precipitation, there is a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in eastern Nebraska, but strong to severe thunderstorms are possible in far western Nebraska in the late afternoon and evening. Above-average temperatures will continue in eastern Nebraska through at least Friday.
Tuesday morning to Tuesday afternoon a few isolated showers and thunderstorms. This afternoon mainly sunny, windy, warm and humid with highs between 27 and 32 degrees. South wind 16 to 32 km/h with gusts around 48 km/h.
Severe weather is expected in western Nebraska in the late afternoon and into the night.
From Tuesday night to Wednesday morning the sky will be mostly cloudy, with isolated showers and thunderstorms possible. Minimum temperatures around 15 degrees.
Isolated thunderstorms are possible in Eastern Nebraska on Wednesday morning. Partly to mostly sunny, windy and still quite warm in the afternoon. Highs are usually around 27 degrees.
Some areas of Nebraska could see up to 1 inch of rain over the next three days. Most areas will see less than 3/4 inch of rain.
Temperatures will remain above average in the Lincoln area through Friday, with some chance of rain. The weekend will be cooler, with persistent showers and thunderstorms.
