After nearly 25 years on television, the latest season of “Survivor” returns to screens this week.

Eighteen new castaways, all strangers, will hit the beach Wednesday in the 47th season premiere of the long-running reality competition show on CBS.

Stranded on an island in Fiji, contestants must work together to build shelter and find food, while competing in group and individual competitions to win $1 million and the ultimate title of Sole Survivor.

“Survivor” has been airing since 2000 and Jeff Probst has hosted all 47 seasons.

Here’s how to tune in to the latest season of Survivor.

Cast of the 47th season of “Survivor”

CBS gave a first look at the cast of the 47th season of “Survivor” earlier this month.

As has become the show’s trademark, the contestants come from all over the country and have diverse backgrounds. Among them are an emergency room doctor, a flight attendant, a construction worker and an esports commentator.

Viewers may notice one notable person in this season’s cast: Jon Lovett, a podcaster and co-founder of Crooked Media who also served as a speechwriter for former President Barack Obama.

The 18 cast members must work together to build shelters, form alliances, and win challenges, all while developing strategies to vote each other out of the game.
