Colin Farrell makes a rare red carpet appearance with his doppelgänger son Henry

Actor Colin Farrell made a stunning appearance on Tuesday as he walked the red carpet alongside his look-alike son Henry.

The father-son duo attended the New York premiere of The Penguin which is scheduled to premiere on HBO on September 19. In the miniseries, Colin reprises his role as Oz Cobb from The Batman, which was released in 2022.

For the glamorous event, 48-year-old Colin looked dapper as ever in a pinstripe tuxedo, crisp white shirt and smart black tie. He accessorised with a series of silver rings and his raven locks slicked back behind his ears.

Colin was accompanied by his 14-year-old son, who looked like the spitting image of his father in his smart black suit and matching black shirt.

The actor has Henry with actress and Ondine co-star Alicja Bachleda-Curuś. Besides Henry, he is also a loving father to 21-year-old James, whom he has with model Kim Bordenave.

James suffers from a rare neurological disorder called Angelman Syndrome. In 2024, Colin founded the Colin Farrell Foundation in honor of his son. The nonprofit organization supports individuals and families with intellectual disabilities through advocacy, education, and innovative programs.

“He’s nothing but a gift. He’s exactly what he should be, as far as I’m concerned,” the actor said of his son in 2008. “James is just perfect, to be honest. He’s a happy boy and if you can honestly say your child is happy, then you’re a very, very happy man.”

Meanwhile, in a candid conversation with PEOPLE magazine earlier this year, Colin gave emotional insights into his life with James and spoke about the founding of his foundation.

He explained: “This is the first time I’ve spoken about this and the only reason I’m speaking is obviously because I can’t ask James if he wants to do this.

“I mean, I can. I talk to James as if he were 20 and had perfect command of the English language and had cognitive abilities appropriate to his age. But I can’t expect him to give me a concrete answer as to whether he’s comfortable with all this or not. So I have to make a decision based on James’ spirit and knowing what kind of young man he is and how much good there is in his heart.”

While Colin tends to keep his two sons out of the spotlight, he has previously spoken about how both Henry and James support him behind the scenes.

Speaking to Vanity Fair, the actor gushed about how his sons cheer him on when awards season rolls around. “If anything, they do the opposite,” he explained. “I can be a little crazy about the whole thing, all the awards season stuff.”

The actor has a close bond with his two sons

“I remember my son coming home from school one day and hearing that I had won, I think, the National Board of Review, and I said, ‘Yeah, that’s cool.’

“And he was like (mockingly), ‘Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it’s cool.’ He was like, ‘Come on, enjoy it for God’s sake. Just enjoy it.’ And I was like, OK, I’m going to lean on that wisdom.”

He added: “His point was that you can get overwhelmed by it. You can take all these things too seriously by really trying not to take them seriously, in a way. That’s a little bit of a trap.”
