Red Sox lineups at Rays for September 17, 2024; Wildcard rankings

The Red Sox lost three of four games against the Yankees last weekend and are 22-32 since the All-Star break, putting them four games behind the Twins in the battle for the final wild-card spot, with the Mariners and Tigers also ahead of them.

Nick Pivetta will be on the mound for the Sox on Tuesday in the opener of a three-game series at Tropicana Field. The teams will close the regular season with a three-game series at Fenway on Sept. 27-29.
