The Newton native was spotted back in town Sunday night for the Pearl Jam concert at Fenway Park, wearing a black Red Sox cap as he took the stage during the band’s rendition of Neil Young’s classic anthem “Rockin’ in the Free World.” The actor and director even showed off his musical side: Krasinski played tambourine during the song, along with the show’s opening act, Glen Hansard.

Before the show, the star of “The Office” and “A Quiet Place” fueled up for his big performance by having dinner with Pearl Jam singer Eddie Vedder in Boston on Saturday night. A source told the Globe that Krasinski and Vedder dined at the 1928 restaurant in Beacon Hill.

We’re told that Krasinski and Vedder not only enjoyed some drinks and snacks, but also enjoyed posing for photos with fans and staff. The Pearl Jam singer even gave away a guitar pick to guests at the bar.

This is not the first time Krasinski and Vedder have been spotted together. In a 2017 Facebook post, British guitarist Simon Townshend, the younger brother of The Who, Pete Townshend, shared a picture of himself hugging Krasinski and Vedder.

Pearl Jam returns to Fenway Park on Tuesday for the second night of the band’s “Dark Matter” tour.
