Eagles’ Saquon Barkley draws ire from NFL fans after crucial pass loss in loss to Falcons
Saquon Barkley learned the passion of Philadelphia Eagles fans the hard way on Monday night.
The star running back, who joined the Eagles after spending the first part of his career with the New York Giants, had the chance to decide the game against the Atlanta Falcons.

On third down with 1:46 remaining, Jalen Hurts rolled out and threw a very catchable ball to Barkley, but it was dropped. A catch by Barkley would have likely given Philadelphia at least another first down and decided the game.
However, Philadelphia managed to equalize with a field goal with 1:39 left to make it 21-15.
Of course, the ball ended up in Kirk Cousins’ hands with no timeouts left. The Eagles were barely able to put any pressure on the experienced quarterback and he hurled the ball all over the field.

Cousins then found Drake London for the tying touchdown. Younghoe Koo then nailed a long extra point attempt to give the Falcons a 22-21 lead. They won by the same score after Jessie Bates III intercepted Hurts on the next drive.
The Eagles fans were angry at Barkley.
“I dropped the ball and we lost,” Barkley told the Delaware News Journal after the game.
He added: “That was a great play. I just have to catch the ball.”
The running back managed 95 rushing yards on 22 attempts. He caught four passes on five attempts for 21 yards.
