UT welcomes fans to Morgan Wallen concerts at Neyland Stadium

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, welcomes concertgoers to campus on Friday, September 20, and Sunday, September 22, for two performances featuring Morgan Wallen.

Both shows begin at 6:30 p.m. EDT at Neyland Stadium. Doors open at 4:30 p.m. Up to 80,000 people are expected to come to campus for each show.

Classes will take place on Friday. Concertgoers are asked not to come to campus before 2 p.m.

Parking and shuttles

Campus parking will be open to concertgoers with parking permits starting at 2 p.m., and Route T buses will be rerouted to special events at that time. For more information on concert day parking and bus schedules, visit the parking website.

Digital tickets and admission information

Concertgoers with tickets to the General Bowl will have access to their digital tickets through the Ticketmaster app. Those with premium tickets will have access to their digital tickets through the Tennessee Athletics app, which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Concertgoers are asked to download their tickets to their Apple Wallet or Google Pay before arriving on campus. Anyone needing assistance with their digital tickets can visit the Gate 21 ticket counter on the day of the concert.

Those with field-level tickets will enter the stadium through Gate 7, while those with pit tickets will enter through Gate 25. Those with general bowl tickets may enter any non-premium gate. Those with premium tickets should use the designated gate.

RockyTopWiFi will be available in and around Neyland Stadium.

Experiences and support for concertgoers

A Volunteer Club tailgate party begins at 3 p.m. in the Humanities Plaza. Purchase tickets at https://thevolunteerclub.com/collections/morgan-wallen-tailgate-tickets.

On Friday, concert ticket holders will receive free admission to the Tennessee-Western Michigan volleyball game at Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center. The game begins at 2 p.m.

UT Medical Center first aid stations are available throughout Neyland Stadium and are equipped with innovative technology such as portable diagnostic services and advanced life support equipment.

Those looking to purchase Morgan Wallen merchandise before the show can stop by the merchandise locations outside Neyland Stadium at Gate 21 on the northwest corner, outside Ramp 10 on the southwest corner and outside Gate 4 on the southeast corner. Each location opens at 2 p.m. Merchandise will also be available throughout Neyland Stadium during both shows.

Security measures for concerts

  • Visitors are permitted to bring one unopened, factory-sealed clear water bottle and one empty clear water bottle per person into the stadium.
  • Visitors are permitted to bring one clear plastic bag measuring 12″ x 6″ x 12″ or one clear, resealable plastic bag measuring 1 gallon into the stadium. In addition, one small purse measuring 4.5″ x 6.5″ is permitted. No other bags are permitted in the stadium.
  • Attendees can report suspicious activity by texting their seat location (hall, section, row, seat number) and the issue to 865-974-9898.
  • Smoking is prohibited at UT, including in private vehicles parked or operated on university property. The ban also extends to burning tobacco, electronic cigarettes and other vaping devices.
  • Anyone attempting to enter the stadium with alcohol will be denied entry.

Prohibited items

  • Artificial noisemakers
  • Open umbrellas
  • Food, snacks and drinks brought along (unless medically necessary)
  • Radios without headphones
  • Video cameras, professional cameras and cameras with removable lenses
  • Unmanned aircraft systems
  • Stadium seats with armrests or side pockets
  • Selfie sticks
  • Weapons of all kinds, including pocket knives

No items may be stored or left at the gates. Fans are permitted to bring the following items into the stadium, but will be subject to search at the gates:

  • Cushions or seats without armrests or side pockets
  • Small cameras, binoculars and mobile phones
  • Small bags containing medically necessary items (Note: Diapers and non-medically necessary items for babies and toddlers must be transported in a clear bag.)
