Moana 2 isn’t the only Disney film that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will soon star in. During D23 2024, Johnson revealed that he will star in a live-action monster truck movie.
“I love motorsports, I love monster trucks,” Johnson told the audience at the Disney Entertainment Showcase. “I came to (Disney co-chairman Alan Bergman) and Disney to create something here that is immersive and entertaining and has live action. From the perspective of these incredible monster trucks. Eccentric and crazy drivers. Monster Jam is going to be a fun ride.”

Although no footage was shown and no release date was announced, the film received a logo and some initial graphics.
In addition to the Monster Jam announcement, Johnson was also on hand to open the Disney Entertainment Showcase with Moana 2, including a new trailer and more. Johnson will reprise his role as Maui in the film.
