Larimer County wildfire triggers evacuation orders near Crystal Lakes

Due to a wildfire in the Crystal Lakes area in the foothills west of Fort Collins, Larimer County authorities issued a mandatory evacuation order on Monday.

The wildfire has been named the Pearl Fire, Larimer County sheriff’s officials said. Several local fire departments are responding and air support has been requested, sheriff’s officials said.

The first evacuation order at 11:55 a.m. affected Crystal Lakes, south of Black Mountain and north of Lake Erie, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office said on social media.

At 12:45 p.m., authorities extended the evacuation order to residents in the area of ​​county roads 86 and 170.
