After setting the WNBA single-season record for most points earlier this week, Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson celebrated another unique achievement on Sunday.
In Sunday’s 84-71 win over the Connecticut Sun, Wilson became the first player in league history to ever score 1,000 points in a season:

Wilson finished the win with 29 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two blocks. She reached the 1,000-point mark with a fadeaway jumper in the fourth quarter:

After missing out on being named WNBA MVP in 2023, Wilson now appears poised to win a third trophy, having helped lead the reigning WNBA champions to a 25-13 record as the playoffs quickly approach.
Wilson will get two more chances to improve her record when the Aces return to action on Tuesday against the Seattle Storm before closing the regular season on Thursday against the Dallas Wings.
