Injury report Falcons vs. Eagles

The Eagles announced Sunday that they have downgraded wide receiver AJ Brown to out due to a hamstring injury he suffered during Friday’s practice. He was unable to participate in Saturday’s practice.

Head coach Nick Sirianni discussed the integration of Jahan Dotson, the former first-round pick acquired in a trade with Washington on Aug. 22. Dotson played 32 snaps in the season opener.

“I have a really good feeling about Jahan. I have a really good feeling about Jahan. First-round pick. Obviously we traded him and have a really good feeling about him. He’s a smooth route runner. Everything like that,” Sirianni said.

“I just think that position is judged unfairly sometimes just because they don’t get the opportunities that those other guys would get, because when you have players like AJ, DeVonta (Smith) and Dallas (Goedert) on your team, sometimes that’s just how it goes.”

“But if he needs to step up and play more meaningful snaps, I have a lot of confidence in him because he’s done a good job. He’s done a good job. We can only judge him by the things he’s done since he’s been here. He’s done a really good job since he’s been here. Really good practices.

“I’m excited for his opportunity as a third receiver, second receiver or whatever it may be every week. I’m excited for him when he gets his opportunity because he’s going to make some big plays that are going to help us win some games.”

Dotson spoke after practice on Saturday about potentially having a bigger role on offense due to Brown’s injury. Watch the interview below.
