Oregon Ducks arrive in Oregon State: “Where dreams die” – PHOTOS

The No. 9 Oregon Ducks face the unranked Oregon State Beavers in the 128th game between these two rivals, but for the first time in September. Oregon coach Dan Lanning, quarterback Dillon Gabriel, tight end Terrance Ferguson and the team are pictured below.

Rowdy Reser Stadium in Corvallis is not an easy place to play. College football commentator and Heisman Trophy winner Matt Leinart said Reser Stadium is “the place where dreams go to die.” Oregon fans hope that’s not the case on Saturday.

With a 69-48-10 record in the series, the Ducks have historically controlled the series, but since 2020 the two schools have played 2-2, with Oregon winning both games in Eugene in 2021 and 2023 and Oregon State in 2020 and 2022 in Corvallis.

Both the Ducks and Beavers come into this game undefeated. The Ducks are 2-0 after a 24-14 win over Idaho in week one and a nail-biting 37-34 win over Boise State in week two. The Beavers are also 2-0 after wins over Idaho State and San Diego State.

Oregon linebacker Bryce Boettcher started well with two pass breakups on the first drive. Ahead of this week, Boettcher explained how important the rivalry game is to him as an Oregon native.

“I actually thought this morning when I woke up and walked to the facility that this is my last game,” Boettcher said. “I’m selling myself for this game and this week. It means everything to me and it’s obviously the most entertaining game of the year in my opinion.”
