Michigan QB Alex Orji replaces Davis Warren against Arkansas State

The Wolverine predicts Michigan vs. Arkansas State and other CFB games this weekend

In the third quarter of Saturday’s game against State of Arkansas, Michigan made a change. Alex Orji took over the position of quarterback and replaced Davis Warren after throwing three interceptions.

Orji began warming up after Warren’s third pick of the day, and with just over two minutes left in the quarter, the starter headed to the sideline. That meant Orji was subbed in with the Wolverines leading 21-3.

Warren completed 14 of 17 passes in just over two quarters of the game against Arkansas State, but all three incomplete passes were interceptions. He had 122 passing yards at the time of his departure.

After Orji came on as a substitute, he helped lead a nine-play, 80-yard drive that ended in a passing touchdown. Hogan Hansen and gave Michigan a 28-3 lead early in the fourth quarter. Kalel Mullings led the charge with seven runs, while Orji made one of his own before finding Hansen in the end zone.
