WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WTNH) — It’s official! New England’s biggest festival kicks off Friday: The Big E!
The annual event takes place from September 13th to 29th. Gates open at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.

We can certainly expect many new dishes, such as fried deviled eggs, pickle fries with cheese and gravy, and empanada tacos.
The fair also features rides, museums, games, live entertainment and much more, making it perfect for families.
Another major highlight this year is the Connecticut Building, which has been renovated for the first time in 30 years.

Major improvements to the building include an entirely new interior that reflects the latest Connecticut branding trend.
There’s also a nearly 10-foot-tall digital monument, a brand-new interactive area with an astronaut spacesuit, the first-ever “Shop CT” experience, and Instagram-worthy backgrounds.
Tickets are available for $16 general admission, $10 for children, and free for children under 5.
