Parker Kligerman announces that 2024 will be his last full-time racing season

Parker Kligerman will not return to full-time racing after this season, he announced in the podcast “The Money Round” which he hosts together with former driver Landon Cassill.

“I’m not aiming for full-time driving anymore,” Kligerman said on the podcast.

Kligerman is in his second year with Big Machine Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Through Saturday’s race at Watkins Glen (3 p.m. ET on USA Network), he has made 113 Xfinity Series starts.

“My focus this year was to win races and fight for the championship with Big Machine Racing,” Kligerman said on his podcast. “But it’s only natural that you have to think about it, especially when you hit the halfway point of the year, because that’s when you start saying, ‘Hey, what’s next year?'”

As for the next steps, Kligerman said he was not sure.

“I think a lot of people assume there are a lot of opportunities in television, and I’m sure I’ll follow that and want to be a part of it,” said Kligerman, who works as a pit reporter for NBC Sports.

In addition, he has made 30 Cup starts and 117 Truck starts in his career. He has won three Truck races.

Kligerman has a playoff spot with two races remaining in the Xfinity Series regular season. He made the playoffs last year and finished 10th. Kligerman could secure a playoff spot at Watkins Glen.
