ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Sabrina Ionescu scored 20 pointsBetnijah Laney-Hamilton had 17 and the New York Liberty never trailed en route to their fifth straight win, a 99-67 victory over the Dallas Wings on Thursday night.

Ionescu made 8 of 18 shots, including four 3-pointers, and added six assists for New York (31-6), which has the league’s best record and beat the Wings for the second time in three days.

Laney-Hamilton sank three 3-pointers and half of her 12 shots and grabbed six rebounds.

Breanna Stewart And Courtney Vandersloot Both scored eleven points for the Liberty, while Leonie Fiebich contributed nine points as a substitute.

Arike Ogunbowale And Maddy Siegrist both scored 11 points to lead Dallas (9-28), which has lost six in a row.

Ionescu made two 3-pointers and Laney-Hamilton sank one, giving the Liberty a 9-0 lead. Jaelyn Brown scored from outside the three-point line to cut the deficit to 20-15, but Ionescu converted a 3-pointer and a reverse layup in the final 44 seconds to give Liberty a 25-15 lead after the first quarter.

Sabally-SatouThe Wings closed the gap to 14 points with a layup two minutes into the third quarter. Vandersloot and Ionescu responded with two layups in a row and New York maintained a comfortable lead of 73-55 until the fourth quarter.

New York beat the Wings 105-91 on Tuesday to become the second team, joining two-time defending champion Las Vegas, to record 30 wins in 36 games. The Aces did that last season when the league played a 40-game regular season for the first time. The Liberty must win their final three games to match the Aces’ record of 34-6.
