According to reports, the entire staff of the popular game maker Annapurna Interactive has resigned

Bloomberg reports that the entire staff of Annapurna Interactive, the games division of Megan Ellison’s Annapurna, has resigned after failing to convince Ellison to allow the spin-off of her games division into a new company. IGN confirms the report.

Former President Nathan Gary, Annapurna Interactive executives and “about two dozen” employees have resigned. Bloomberg reported. A spokesman for Annapurna said Bloomberg that existing games and projects will remain under the company. Annapurna did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The edge.

Last week, The Hollywood Reporter said that Gary and Annapurna Interactive co-heads Deborah Mars and Nathan Vella would be leaving the company. THR also reported that Annapurna planned to “integrate its internal gaming operations with the rest of Annapurna’s divisions, which include film, television and theater.” Hector Sanchez, who most recently led the Unreal Engine gaming business at Epic Games and co-founder of Annapurna Interactive, announced last month that he would become president of interactive and new media at Annapurna.

Annapurna Pictures, the company’s film arm, has won numerous awards for a variety of films, including Her, American hustle and bustleAnd Zero dark thirty, and the company had simply expanded its ambitions alongside its success as a video game publisher.

This year, Annapurna Interactive released Lorelei and the laser eyes And Open roads; upcoming games include his own developed Blade Runner 2033: Labyrinth as well as Ghost bike And Hiking stop.
