Michelle Beadle reacts after it was revealed that the viral Shannon Sharpe sex tape featured ‘a Michelle’

Michelle Beadle just wanted to be transparent.

The FanDuel TV host jokingly clarified that she was not the “Michelle” people were talking about online when Shannon Sharpe’s Instagram Live video went viral on Wednesday and included audio recordings of him having sex with an unnamed woman.

Later that day, Sharpe addressed the matter on his podcast “Night Cap” with Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson, who said he was glad that “a Michelle” was involved in the situation “and not a Michael.”

“It wasn’t me,” Beadle wrote on X, adding a smiley emoji.

Former ESPN anchor Jemele Hill replied, “M’AAM.”

NFL Network reporter Jane Slater added: “Marked safe.”

In a separate post, Beadle said: “I just wanted to be transparent.”

Beadle, known for her sarcasm, was obviously joking.

At one point in the Instagram Live – where no one was visible on camera, only audio was heard – a male voice appeared to say, “That’s my Michelle,” according to Larry Brown Sports.

Sharpe explained that it was important to him to take responsibility for inadvertently posting this private, intimate moment on social media.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame member said he contacted his agents and his employer, ESPN, to let them know he would address the matter publicly.

“I said, ‘I just have to tell them the truth,'” Sharpe said. “My phone was not hacked. It was not a prank.”

“I was a healthy, active man. You all thought I was talking nonsense. Hey, Uncle, go ahead. Seriously.”

Sharpe explained that someone on his team reacted quickly and posted that the ESPN star had been hacked.

However, Sharpe said he had the post removed.

“I threw my phone on the bed while I was busy doing an activity,” Sharpe said. “I didn’t know about IG Live. I’ve never turned on IG Live before, so I don’t know how it works, and suddenly my other phone started ringing.”

Sharpe admitted that he was embarrassed and disappointed in themselves.

“It is embarrassing to me for a number of reasons when someone whose private life is extremely, extremely private makes one of their most intimate details – the audio recording – available to the whole world,” he said.

“A lot of people rely on Shannon to always conduct herself professionally, and I try to always conduct myself professionally, even when I’m behind closed doors. … I’m very disappointed in myself, not in the act. I think there are millions and billions of people of consenting age who participate in activities, but when you hear the audio, I’m disappointed in myself. I’ve disappointed a lot of people.”

Sharpe said his marketing partner Jamie Fritz alerted him to the situation and another person eventually ended the live video.
