Halsey and Avan Jogia are officially engaged!

The “Ego” singer, who uses the pronouns “she” and “her,” announced the big news on Wednesday with a cheeky X-post in which she corrected an account that referred to Jogia as her boyfriend. “Fiancé Avan Jogia,” she corrected.

The clarification came after Halsey, 29, walked the red carpet at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards and was asked if wedding bells would be ringing for her and 32-year-old Jogia in the future.

“I hope so,” she told E!, hinting at the announcement. “Avan is the best. He’s one of the greatest things that’s ever happened to me. And every single day that I spend with him, I feel like I’m with my best friend, you know what I mean?”

The “Lucky” singer, who has a three-year-old son Ender with her ex Alev Aydin, added that she is not the only one looking forward to a future with Jogia. Of her son’s relationship with her now fiancé, she said: “They are also best friends. They are inseparable.”

Jogia, an actor and musician, known from his time at Nickelodeon as one of the leading actors of Victoriousfirst sparked dating rumors with Halsey in September 2023 when the two were photographed kissing in Los Angeles.

A month later, they confirmed their relationship on Instagram, where the singer-songwriter shared a now-deleted carousel of photos of the two together in matching latex Halloween costumes. Jogia also shared photos from the outing on his own Instagram page.

Halsey is now in the midst of a comeback era after revealing details about her diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus and a rare T-cell lymphoproliferation disorder. At the VMAs, Halsey debuted her latest single, “Ego,” from her upcoming album.
