MIAMI – In a recently released bodycam video, social media model Maecee Marie Lathers can be seen writhing in pain after she sped through a downtown traffic light in her Mercedes-Benz at nearly 80 miles per hour while slamming on the accelerator, colliding with two vehicles and killing two people before attempting to walk away from the scene of the accident, according to Miami police.

Authorities said Lathers, 24, of Miami Gardens, told police after the August accident that she was high on the party drug “Tusi,” also known as “pink cocaine,” and was traveling “from the future” with a “crystal ball.”

Police said her driver’s license was also revoked. She now faces a number of criminal charges, including two counts of vehicular manslaughter in connection with the deaths of Abraham Ismael and his friend Jesus Rubio. Prosecutors also charged her with manslaughter while under the influence of alcohol on Tuesday, court records show.

The accident occurred on August 10 at around 6:45 a.m. at the corner of North Miami Avenue and Eighth Street.

After Lathers left the hospital, a judge in Miami-Dade described the man from upstate New York as an “absolute danger to the community.”

Online records show her next appearance in Miami-Dade court is scheduled for Monday.
