Every time Taylor Swift hits the red carpet, the internet decode her look from head to toe. That’s because the pop icon is known for her expertly placed outfit Easter eggs. (Never forget her 2024 Grammys watch necklace!). And her moment at the 2024 MTV VMAs was definitely a smash hit in every way.
Swift appeared to be punk in her stunning Dior look, which included a plaid bustier top with an attached skirt, velvet hot pants and mesh gloves, and thigh-high Stuart Weitzman boots. Her entire look has Swifties swooning.Call Taylor’s Version” again. The singer has yet to release a re-recorded version of her chart-topping 2017 album, which many of her loyal historians believe will be the next re-release.
But it was her glamour that really worked Call-coded for us. It also felt like a ’90s supermodel. Swift swapped out her signature classic bright crimson lipstick for an orange-red vermilion shade. Her dark charcoal smokey eye and exaggerated winged eyeliner rounded out the Representative feeling of appearance.
Her hair was also less groomed and had a structured bombshell blow-dry.

Taylor made her own glamour for her folklore album during the Covid-19 pandemic. Her look has become synonymous with a bold red lip and winged eyeliner.
At the 2022 VMAs, Swift tapped beauty icon Pat McGrath for her makeup moment. McGrath called the singer her “angel” on Instagram at the time and shared a breakdown of the makeup she used.
“TAYLOR-MADE BEAUTYđź’Žđź’Žđź’Ž ‘Surprise! I was SO EXCITED about this! Swift famously wore the same shade in her music video “Bejeweled.”
