Melania raises questions about Trump’s assassination attempt in a video promoting her new memoir

Former First Lady Melania Trump raises questions about the assassination attempt on her husband, former President Donald Trump.

“The attempt to end my husband’s life was a horrific, disturbing experience,” Trump said in a video statement on X. “Now the silence about it feels difficult.”

“I wonder why the police didn’t arrest the shooter before the speech,” she continued. “There is definitely more to the story and we need to find out the truth.”

At the end of the video, the former First Lady promoted her memoir, which is now available for pre-order ahead of its October 1 release date.

The book, titled “Melania,” is described as “the powerful and inspirational story of a woman who defined personal excellence, overcame adversity, and forged her own path.”

“The former First Lady invites readers into her world and offers an intimate portrait of a woman who lived an extraordinary life,” the description reads.Melania contains stories and images that have never been made available to the public before.

After the assassination attempt in July, Mrs Trump called for the country to “reunite” and appealed for courage and common sense to “bring us back together as one”.

she said The shooter was “a monster who recognized my husband as an inhuman political machine” and tried to “bring out Donald’s passion – his laughter, his ingenuity, his love of music and his inspiration.”

“As I watched the massive bullet strike my husband, Donald, I realized that my life and Barron’s were on the verge of devastating change,” she wrote, adding that her husband was a generous and caring man.

In July, the former First Lady announced the publication of her memoirs, and last month the book shot to the top of several Amazon bestseller lists.

“Writing my memoir has been an incredible journey filled with emotional ups and downs,” the former first lady previously told Fox News Digital. “Each story has shaped me into the person I am today.”

She continued, adding, “Although the process was daunting at times, it was incredibly rewarding. It reminded me of my strength and the beauty of sharing my truth.”
