Mark Hamill had the most heartbreaking reaction to the death of James Earl Jones
Legendary actor James Earl Jones has died at the age of 93.
Jones, who received several awards for his acting performance during his legendary career, portrayed Darth Vader in the original version star Wars series. He appeared alongside Mark Hamill, who played Luke Skywalker.
As a tribute to Jones and their time together on the film, Hamill referenced one of the most memorable moments in film history when (spoiler alert, decades too late) Dath Vader revealed that he was actually Skywalker’s father.
He tweeted “#RIP Dad” with a broken heart emoji, showing the impact Jones had not only on his fans but also on his film colleagues.
