Kate Middleton has completed her chemotherapy for cancer.
The mother of three took to social media on Monday to share updates on her health.
“Summer is coming to an end and I can’t tell you what a relief it is to have finally finished my chemotherapy,” wrote the 42-year-old. “The last nine months have been incredibly hard on us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we’ve had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and the unknown path.”

“Cancer is complex, scary and unpredictable for anyone, especially those closest to you,” she said. “But with humility, you also confront your own vulnerabilities in ways you’ve never considered before and gain a new perspective on everything. Most of all, this time has reminded William and me to reflect on and be grateful for the simple but important things in life that so many of us often take for granted. Simply to love and be loved. My focus now is to do everything I can to stay cancer-free.”
“Although I have completed chemotherapy, my road to healing and full recovery is long and I must continue to take each day as it comes,” the Princess continued. “However, I am looking forward to returning to work and making a few more public appearances in the coming months when I can. Despite everything that has happened before, I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation for life.
“My focus now is to do everything I can to stay cancer-free.”
“William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn strength from all those helping us during this time. We have been truly humbled by the kindness, compassion and empathy shown by everyone. To all those continuing their own cancer journey – I stand with you, side by side, hand in hand. In January, Kate underwent a planned abdominal surgery, sparking speculation about her health. In March, Kate announced in a video that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing chemotherapy.
The Princess has kept a low profile all year, focusing on her recovery, and has only been seen in an official capacity twice – at Trooping the Colour on June 15 and at Wimbledon on July 14.

In June, Kate admitted in a statement that while she has “good days,” chemotherapy also brings tough days. She also noted that her work brings her “deep joy.”

According to People magazine, Kate worked quietly from Adelaide Cottage over the summer. The newspaper reported that she had regular meetings with her private secretary Tom White, assistant private secretary Natalie Burrows and the Prince and Prince of Wales’ communications secretary Lee Thompson. They worked together on future plans that focused on her concerns.

On September 8, Britain’s Sunday Times reported that Kate hoped to “possibly” join the rest of the royal family in paying their respects to fallen soldiers on Remembrance Sunday, which falls on November 10 this year.
Kensington Palace told People Magazine that Kate has already started planning her annual Christmas concert in December. A palace spokesperson did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

Prince William spent the summer with his wife and their three children. They lived mainly at Anmer Hall, their country home, and at Balmoral Castle in Scotland, where King Charles hosted the royal family. Kate was photographed on her way to church at Crathie Kirk on August 25.
The 42-year-old Prince of Wales resumed his royal duties on September 5. The same week, the children also went back to school.
