How to watch Alex Morgan’s last NWSL game before retirement

The brilliant soccer career of USWNT star Alex Morgan is coming to an end.

On Thursday, September 5, the World Cup winner announced that she is not only retiring from her career as a professional footballer, but is also pregnant with her second child. Morgan and her husband Servando Carrasco already have a four-year-old daughter, Charlie.

“This is also not the retirement video I was expecting when I initially thought I was doing this because Charlie is going to be a big sister,” Morgan explained in an emotional video she posted on X.

Morgan is currently a striker for San Diego Wave FC in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) and will play her game as a professional soccer player with the Wave today, September 8th, against North Carolina Courage.

Want to see the legend in his final game? The game will air exclusively on Paramount+.

San Diego Wave vs North Carolina Courage Date and Time: When is Alex Morgan’s last game?

Morgan’s last game before her retirement is today, September 8, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Here’s how to watch Alex Morgan’s final game for free:

Tonight’s NWSL game between the San Diego Waves and North Carolina Courage will air exclusively on Paramount+. To watch NWSL games, you must subscribe to Paramount+ with SHOWTIME.

After a seven-day free trial, the plan with ads costs $12.99/month, but Paramount+ is currently offering an annual plan deal that’s too good to pass up.

With the code CASE50get 50% off an annual plan, bringing the price down from $119.99/year to $59.99 – with upcoming live sports, NFL, and exclusive premieres, that’s more than enough to justify the value of the annual plan at this deep discount.

Where will San Diego Wave play against North Carolina Courage?

Morgan will play her final professional game at the SD Wave’s home stadium, Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California.

Alex Morgan’s career:

Morgan’s 13.5-year career has been marked by numerous accomplishments. She played 337 games for the USWNT and helped the team to two World Championship titles (2015, 2019), an Olympic gold medal (2012) and an Olympic bronze medal (2020). She also won three CONCACAF W Championships and a CONCACAF W Gold Cup with the USWNT.

While with the USWNT, she was also part of a five-member coalition of players that filed a federal complaint with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission accusing USA Soccer of paying female players lower salaries than their male counterparts. The decision resulted in a groundbreaking equal pay agreement.

Morgan has been named U.S. Soccer Player of the Year twice (2012, 2018), has been named to the FIFA FIFPRO Women’s World Team five times (2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022), and has been named CONCACAF Player of the Year four times (2013, 2016, 2017, 2018).

Morgan played in the inaugural season of the NWSL in 2013, where she was a member of the Portland Thorns FC first team. She also played for Orlando Pride and is currently captain of the San Diego Wave FC. She has won every title in the NWSL: NWSL Championship, NWSL Shield and NWSL Challenge Cup.

Morgan also won a Division 1 Féminine title with Olympique Lyonnais Féminin in France.
