Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns in review: results, highlights, news, analysis

1st quarter

The Browns won the coin toss and gave up possession, giving Dallas the ball. A penalty on Jalen Tolbert and a sack on Dak Prescott made things pretty tough against a ferocious defense, and the Cowboys ended up having to punt.

A nice return put the Browns in a position to do some damage, but they had to deal with a few penalties themselves and ultimately settled for a field goal to score the first points of the game.

However, the cowboys got back to work and started feeding the CeeDee lamb well.

This put the team within striking distance and on the third attempt, Cleveland launched a blitz and paid a heavy price for it. Prescott found Brandin Cooks for the first touchdown of the season.

Cleveland and Dallas then exchanged punts, and the Browns did so again right after the end of the first quarter.
