Anthony Richardson stats for the Colts quarterback against the Texans in Week 1

Anthony Richardson completed 9 of 19 passes for 212 yards in the Indianapolis Colts’ 29-27 loss to the Houston Texans in Week 1 on Sunday. He is also Indianapolis’ leading rusher with 56 yards on six carries, including a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

The fact that there weren’t that many is partly due to Houston’s advantage in possession: 40 to 20 minutes, thanks to a tough and effective running game in the second half.

Richardson has three long passes: 60 and 58 yards to Alec Pierce and 54 yards to Ashton Dulin. The 60 and 54 yard passes result in touchdowns. He had two incomplete passes intended for Adonai Mitchell on long throws (20+ yards downfield), one of which was an overthrow that would have resulted in a touchdown.
