Tom Brady is looking forward to his rookie role ahead of his NFL commentary debut: “I want to earn it”
Tom Brady is just 24 hours away from his rookie debut.
Exactly, the legendary NFL quarterback and the future Hall of Famer will be a rookie once again when he steps into the announcer’s booth for the very first time as lead analyst for FOX’s NFL coverage on Sunday afternoon.
“Obviously I’m super excited,” Brady said during the halftime interview between Texas and Michigan on “Big Noon Kickoff.”

“Of course there is a certain amount of nervousness. A lot of people have made a lot of preparations for this and it has been a journey that has taken several years.”
The seven-time Super Bowl champion will join live commentator Kevin Burkhardt in the booth and veteran reporters Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi to cover the Week 1 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns on FOX Sports’ “America’s Game of the Week.”
“I’m excited to be able to cover a sport that I absolutely love,” Brady said on Saturday.

“I love coming to great teams and I have that here at FOX and with my crew. … In a lot of ways, I’m the newbie,” he continued. “I want to come here and I want to earn it. I want to go out there every day and do my best for them and the fans. I want to give everybody a little insight so everybody understands (the game) a little better and I’m really excited about that.”
Brady gave viewers a taste of what to expect from him on Sunday by analyzing the quarterback’s play.
“They come from different seasons last year. Dak (Prescot) Statistically speaking, Deshaun (Watson) is probably having the best season of his career. Deshaun (Watson) wants to go out there and prove that Cleveland has invested in him and that he can pull through when the time comes.
