Kane Brown receives the “Country Champion” award

Congratulations, Kane Brown!

The 30-year-old “Miles on It” singer will be honored with the Country Champion Award later this month at the upcoming 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards at the legendary Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, NBC and Peacock announced on Sept. 6.

“Since the beginning of his career, Kane Brown has ensured that his legacy extends beyond music,” said Jen Neal, executive vice president of live events and specials for NBCUniversal Entertainment, in a statement.

Kane Brown will perform in Milwaukee in June 2024.

Neal continued: “His commitment to empowering and supporting younger generations is nothing short of inspirational and we are delighted to honor him with the Country Champion Award.”

At the first PCCA last year, Wynonna Judd was honored with the award as State Champion.

Brown, 30, is among the top nominees at this year’s PCCAs, where he is nominated for 2024 People’s Artist of the Year, 2024 Male Artist of the Year and 2024 Male Song of the Year for “I Can Feel It.” He is also nominated for 2024 Crossover Song of the Year, 2024 Music Video of the Year and Song of the Year for the Marshmello collaboration “Miles on It.”

He had previously received six nominations for the 2023 ceremony.

Another special PCCA award, the Country Icon Award, will be presented to Miranda Lambert at this year’s show. She is also nominated for 2024 Female Artist of the Year and 2024 Female Song of the Year for “Wranglers.”

Shania Twain will host the 2024 ceremony. “Country has some of the most passionate fans in music and we artists are so lucky to be supported in doing what we love,” she said in a statement in July. “It is an honor to host an awards show that celebrates these amazing fans.”

The Grammy winner added: “Get ready for an unforgettable show with lots of big hair, glamour, rhinestones, hats, boots and incredible performances. Let’s go!”

The 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards will air live on NBC and Peacock on September 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
