Chiefs announce anthem singer for Week 1 vs. Ravens

People across the country have been patiently waiting for NFL football to return, and now the time has finally come because it’s game week. The Kansas City Chiefs kick things off on Thursday night when they host the Baltimore Ravens in a game that kicks off the 2024 season.

This is a rematch of the 2023 AFC Championship Game, which the Chiefs won 17-10. It will be a high-profile game that will feature superstar quarterbacks Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, as well as two of the league’s best tight ends, Travis Kelce and Mark Andrews.

In addition, the Chiefs have announced that another star will sing the national anthem in Week 1.

It has been announced that singer, songwriter and actress Coco Jones will sing the national anthem on Thursday night.

This stage is no new experience for the 26-year-old, as she has already sung the national anthem at two other NFL games.

The first time was in 2013 when the St. Louis Rams faced the Chicago Bears. The most recent time was last season when the Philadelphia Eagles played the Los Angeles Rams during NFL Legends Weekend.

Jones also comes from an NFL family. Her father, Mike Jones, played in the league from 1994 to 1999 for the New England Patriots, St. Louis Rams and Tennessee Titans. Her brother, Mike Jones Jr., also plays for the Atlanta Falcons.

The stars will be in Kansas City and one of them will hold the microphone to kick things off.
