Amazon Prime Video is not only the home for Football on Thursday night. Prime members in the US can stream a variety of different sports all year round, from basketball to baseball to soccer and boxing.
Even more live sports will be available on Prime Video over the next two years after Amazon agreed to a groundbreaking 11-year deal. to stream more NBA and WNBA games. Prime Video will broadcast 66 NBA regular-season games starting in 2025, along with first- and second-round playoff games and Conference Finals in six of the 11 years of the agreement, while 30 WNBA games will be available to Prime members in 2026. Additionally, NASCAR will stream on Prime Video in 2025, starting with the Coca-Cola 600 on May 25. Prime Video will broadcast five NASCAR Cup Series races in 2025 as part of a seven-year agreement.
Here are the nine different live sports you can watch on Amazon Prime Video in the US now and throughout 2024.
1. Football on Thursday evening
The third season of Thursday Night Football on Prime Video launches on 22.08. with a preseason showdown between the Indianapolis Colts and the Cincinnati Bengals. The first of 17 regular and postseason games presented on Prime Video begins on September 12 with an AFC East duel, with the Miami Dolphins hosting the reigning AFC East champion Buffalo Bills. Coverage begins every Thursday night at 7 p.m. EDT with TNF tonight.
Prime Video will stream 12 divisional competitions throughout the season, including the return of Black Friday Football on November 29th, when the Las Vegas Raiders travel to Arrowhead to face the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs. And to close out the season, Prime Video will also stream its first-ever NFL Wildcard game in early January.
TNFs The renowned on-air team includes legendary live commentator Al Michaels and Emmy award-winning analyst Kirk Herbstreit in the main announcer’s booth, with sideline reporting from Kaylee Hartung. Host Charissa Thompson and analysts and former NFL stars Andrew Whitworth, Tony Gonzalez, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Richard Sherman make up TNFs Pregame, halftime and postgame coverage. Taylor Rooks delivers weekly features with the NFL’s brightest stars.
2. New York Yankees
Prime members living in New York State, Connecticut, northern and central New Jersey, or northeastern Pennsylvania can watch selected Yankees games throughout the season, including three more in 2024.
Yankees games on Prime Video Amazon’s X-Ray technologypowered by Amazon Web Services (AWS), and allows viewers to access live game stats, team and player details, and live information for fans streaming on Android, iOS mobile devices, and Fire TV. Prime Video’s live coverage of Yankees games is available to MLB.TV subscribers outside of the Yankees home team’s coverage area.
3. NBA
The WNBA is back on Prime Video after the Olympic break and members can watch Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Diana Taurasi and other WNBA stars for the rest of the regular season.
Another 21 games will be available on Prime Video in 2025, but in 2026, Prime Video will stream 30 WNBA regular-season games worldwide for 11 years, including the WNBA Commissioner’s Cup final. Prime Video will also stream one first-round series, seven semifinal series and three WNBA Finals each year over the course of the new deal with the league.
4. NWSL
The second half Prime Video’s first coverage The NWSL returns on Friday, August 23, when first-place Orlando Pride takes on the Houston Dash. Prime members can watch top Olympics stars throughout the rest of the season, including U.S. gold medalists Trinity Rodman (Washington Spirit) and reigning NWSL MVP Sophia Smith (Portland Thorn), as well as Brazilian silver medalist Marta (Orlando Pride).
Games will be played on Fridays throughout the season, with kickoff scheduled for 8:00 or 10:00 p.m. EDT each week. The on-air broadcast team includes live commentator Mike Watts and analyst Lori Lindsey, along with former Chicago Red Stars and Houston Dash striker Kealia Watt, who serves as a contributor and sideline analyst throughout the year. Lianne Sanderson, a former Lioness and Arsenal player, also joins the team as a sideline analyst and match analyst for select fixtures.
6. Seattle Kraken
Prime members in Washington, Oregon and Alaska can not broadcast nationwide Seattle Kraken games on Prime Video during the 2024-2025 season beginning October 4, 2024. This includes games during the preseason, regular season, and first round of the playoffs. All you have to do is open the Prime Video app or website and click on the game or search for “Seattle Kraken.”
7. ONE championship
MMA fans can tune in ONE championship Live events year-round. Members have exclusive access to at least one event per month on Prime Video, every Friday night. Upcoming events include fights in Denver (September 6) and Atlanta (November 8).
8. Premier Boxing Champions
Premier Boxing Champions on Prime Video features some of the best fighters in the world, including the upcoming fight between Canelo Alvarez and Edgar Berlanga on Saturday, September 14. The fight is available to purchase by all fans, regardless of Prime membership. PBC and Prime Video will announce additional fights in the coming weeks.
9. Overtime elite
Prime members can watch live streams of 20 Overtime Elite games per season, with the next season starting in November.
In addition to live sports, Prime Video also offers a wide range of other sports content. Acclaimed sports documentaries such as Bye Barry And Federer are available to Prime members. Prime Video also followed LSU athletics during the 2023-24 season for its upcoming documentary, “Money game.”
