Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is producing a new docuseries for Netflix centered around the decades-long allegations of sexual assault, sex trafficking and organized crime against Sean “Diddy” Combs. Directed by Alexandria Stapleton, the series aims to dive deep into the complex and controversial story surrounding Combs, going beyond the headlines to take a broader, more nuanced look at the allegations and their impact.

50 Cent and Stapleton said in a statement to diversityemphasized the seriousness of the situation: “This is a story with significant human impact… a complex narrative that spans decades, not just the headlines or clips you’ve seen so far.” The docuseries will focus on giving the alleged victims a voice while maintaining an understanding of hip-hop’s broader cultural contribution.

50 Cent will executive produce the project through his company G-Unit Film & Television, along with Stapleton for House of Nonfiction and Texas Crew Productions. Proceeds from the documentary will reportedly benefit victims of sexual violence.

The series follows several lawsuits filed against Combs, including one from his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, who accused him of sexual assault, which resulted in a quick settlement. Combs is currently facing organized crime and sex trafficking charges, has pleaded not guilty, but remains in custody despite being denied bail.

The docuseries will examine these allegations and others involving former employees and models, while also addressing Combs’ public denial of any wrongdoing. With 50 Cent’s commitment to telling complex, untold stories, this series is shaping up to be a provocative examination of both the man and the industry he helped shape.
