I know this is becoming a weekly story, but the numbers are just crazy. Ten different players caught a pass in the 47-10 win; what makes that even more impressive is that Allen had “only” 23 completions. That means one in every 2.3 completions went to another target. If you think that’s impressive, then you should know that six different Bills players scored a touchdown. James Cook and Ray Davis ran for scores, while Khalil Shakir, Dalton Kincaid, Keon Coleman and Ty Johnson all caught a touchdown from Allen.
The Bills have two true No. 1 corners in Rasul Douglas and Christian Benford, so we’ll focus on Benford. The former sixth-round pick has allowed 26 yards on 13 attempts this season. Of those 13 attempts, he has allowed five pass catches for 5.2 yards per catch. That 5.2 yards per catch is second-best in the NFL. The 26 yards allowed is also second-best among cornerbacks who play 50% of their team’s snaps. His 38.5% pass catches allowed drops to fourth-best in the league.

I enjoy the back and forth over who is the better quarterback, Josh Allen or Lamar Jackson? Jackson will most likely finish with more rushing yards in his career, but that’s the only stat he can outdo Allen on, and last night was further proof. The Wyoming product had four touchdown passes in the first half and could have thrown even more if Sean McDermott had wanted to, but that’s not the fun part of this stat. Allen’s four touchdown passes in two quarters is more than Lamar Jackson (three) has thrown all season. Both are great players and two of the most entertaining in the league, but one is better, despite the odd ballot from MVP voters.
