PARK RAPIDS, Minnesota – Four people, including three from North Dakota, were injured in a crash near Park Rapids.

The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating the crash that occurred just after 5 a.m. Monday on County Roads 28 and 48 in Hubbard County. Kenneth Bradley Klier, 37, of Osage, Minnesota, was traveling north on County Road 28 in a 2004 Dodge Ram when he stopped at the stop sign at County Road 48, a news release said.

Cardell Anna Biggers, 43, of Buffalo, N.D., was driving a 2017 Toyota Highlander east on County 48 and moved into the left-turn lane, indicating she intended to head south onto County 28, the release said. Instead, Biggers drove straight and continued east on 48, state police said.

The Ram then entered the intersection and was struck by the Highlander, the press release said.

Klier was not injured, but his passenger, 15-year-old Isaih Shadow Ray Klier of Osage, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, the press release said.

Biggers and her passengers Lydia Ann Biggers, 5, and Shay Kennedy Moser, 28, of Fargo, were not injured, according to state police. Biggers’ other passengers Rebecca Lyn Olund, 28, of Fargo, Luke Dwight Biggers, 2, and Lily Christine Biggers, 5, both of Buffalo, suffered injuries that were not life-threatening, the news release said.

Everyone was wearing seat belts, the press release said.

Park Rapids is located about 100 miles east of Fargo.

Our newsroom occasionally reports under the name “Staff.” The “Staff” name is often used when rewriting basic news briefs from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure that requires little or no reporting. Sometimes this name is used when a story has multiple authors or when the story consists of compiling previously reported news from various sources. When outside sources are used, this is noted in the story.
