3 men push 53-year-old down Mission Dam and throw phone into water

A 53-year-old man was pushed down an embankment into the water near Hayward Lake by three men last month.

The RCMP are searching for the three suspects in the incident, which occurred on July 13 at around 7:00 p.m.

According to police, the 53-year-old was sitting on the rocky shore of Hayward Lake when he was attacked by the group.

Two men shouted and threatened the man before pushing him down the embankment into the water. They also threw his phone into the water.

The Mounties describe the first suspect as 5’8″ tall, 165 pounds, and of slim build. At the time of the attack, he was wearing black shorts, a hat, and a white tank top.

The second suspect is also 5’8″ tall and wearing a white tank top. However, he is described as stockier, weighing about 180 pounds, with tattoos on his arms, short black hair, and a shaved line on the left side of his head.

The final suspect is 5’9″ tall, weighs 150 pounds, and has shoulder-length black hair. He was wearing a black shirt and red shorts.

Police said they had already spoken to a witness, but investigators were still seeking further information from anyone else who may have witnessed the attack or seen the group of men in the area on July 13.

Anyone with information is asked to call Mission RCMP at 604-826-7161.
