14-year-old autistic boy Mason Schermerhorn has been identified as one of the four people killed in the shooting at a Georgia high school

A 14-year-old autistic student has been identified by family members as one of the four victims of Wednesday’s mass shooting at a Georgia high school.

According to WSBTV, Mason Schermerhorn’s distraught relatives shared his photo on social media after they were unable to reach the teenager following the shooting.

“If the situation escalates, PLEASE speak to him in a calm voice,” family members wrote online.

“Tell him that his mother is looking for him to calm him down.”

Schermerhorn’s mother later told the outlet that her son was among the dead at Apalachee High School.

Schermerhorn, another student and two teachers were allegedly gunned down in the shooting by 14-year-old suspect Colt Gray.

Nine other victims, including special education teacher David Phenix, were hospitalized with gunshot wounds, authorities said.
