After one person died in a shooting Thursday night, Los Angeles police rushed to an exit in Sun Valley.

The shooting occurred just before 8:20 p.m. near the Roscoe Boulevard exit of the 405 Freeway, according to Los Angeles police. Investigators said one person was shot. Police said a suspect is still at large. Officers arrested two people at the scene, but their involvement is unclear.

A pistol was found in a pool of blood next to the body. Officers also found something that looked like a bicycle next to the body.

Investigators also cordoned off a Jeep that was parked on the side of the road near the victim.

The LAPD cordoned off a section of Roscoe Boulevard in the immediate vicinity of the body.

The California High Patrol has also closed the entrances and exits to the southbound 405 Freeway at Roscoe Boulevard.

It is unclear what led to the shooting. The LAPD’s West Valley Station said the incident was initially reported as a “911 call from an off-duty officer needing assistance.”
