Chelsea will once again love that they have Cole Palmer in their squad.

And after Manchester City drew with Newcastle the previous Saturday, they will be upset about letting him go.

As has been the case all season, the Englishman is pulling the strings against Brighton at Stamford Bridge to initiate a comeback.

Palmer hit the post early in the first half and had a goal ruled out for offside before finally finding his touchdown.

The 22-year-old raced into the box late on and slammed into the empty net, scoring a penalty and then securing a first-half hat-trick with a stunning left-footed free-kick from 25 yards out.

All three goals came within 10 minutes and it ranks as his third Premier League hat-trick, the most of any Chelsea player.

To make matters even better, Palmer has now also scored more goals than appearances for the Blues in England’s top flight.

What a signing!
