đź”´ LIVE: Solanke scores, Liverpool storms, Newcastle and Villa struggle

It’s a busy day in the Premier League with eight games on Saturday.

Follow it live here.

Liverpool vs Bournemouth

Goalscorers: Díaz 26′, 28′, Núñez 37′

Bournemouth thought they had taken an early lead when Antoine Semenyo finished off a lightning-fast counterattack, but fortunately for Liverpool the goal was disallowed for offside.

Liverpool came into the game better and better and were rewarded when Luis DĂaz seized a long ball and took advantage of the poor positioning of Bournemouth goalkeeper Kepa to score.

Within a few minutes it was 2-0 and once again the Colombian was the goalscorer, pushing the ball under Kepa after a pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold.

In the 37th minute, the game seemed to have already been decided when Darwin Núñez – who was in the starting line-up for the first time this season – converted a brilliant shot to make it 3-0.

Tottenham vs Brentford

Goalscorers: Solanke 8′, Johnson 28′; Mbeumo 1′

For the second week in a row, Brentford took an early lead away from home when Bryan Mbeumo scored a brilliant volley after just 23 seconds.

But, as was the case last week, they did not stay in the lead for long as Dominic Solanke soon equalised with his first goal for Spurs.

Spurs then took control of the game and took a 2-1 lead in the 28th minute when the hero of their midweek comeback at Coventry in the EFL Cup, Brennan Johnson, found the net again.

Aston Villa vs Wolves

Goalscorers: Cunha 25′

It was a thrilling derby at Villa Park and it was Wolves who drew first blood midway through the first half when Matheus Cunha fired a powerful long-range shot that clipped the post on its way into the net.

Leicester vs Everton

Goalscorers: Ndiaye 12′

Everton took the lead after 12 minutes when summer signing Iliman Ndiaye found the net with a low shot that slid into the net from the foot of the near post.

Fulham vs Newcastle

Goalscorers: Jiménez 5′, Smith Rowe 22′

Raúl Jiménez gave Fulham an early lead when he received a pass from Adama Traoré and then finished with a good spin.

Emile Smith Rowe almost made it 2-0 shortly afterwards, but only hit the post. The former Arsenal player, however, found the back of the net with a shot. Goalkeeper Nick Pope got a hand on the ball, but was unable to save it.

Southampton vs Ipswich

Goalscorers: Dibling 5′

The Saints took an early lead through Tyler Dibling, who showed excellent composure and control in the box to score his first goal for the first team.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester United

Chelsea wins confidently against the helpless Hammers

Goalscorers: Jackson 4′, 18′, Palmer 47′

Chelsea emerged victorious from the London derby on Saturday. A brace from Nicolas Jackson and a goal from Cole Palmer gave the team a 3-0 victory over West Ham.

The visitors took the lead through Jackson after less than four minutes when the West Ham defence was surprised by a quick free kick and the striker masterfully slotted his shot between the legs of goalkeeper Alphonse Areola.

Palmer soon put the visitors 2-0 ahead, but Jackson scored again when he collected a brilliant through ball from Moisés Caicedo and fired the shot into the corner with the outside of his boot.

VAR reviewed a West Ham penalty appeal but Wesley Fofana’s foul on Crysencio Summerville was not deemed worthy of a penalty. Mohammed Kudus thought he had halved the deficit but his goal was disallowed for offside.

The Blues started the second half even faster than the first, with Jackson passing to Cole Palmer, who finished with an impressive shot off the post to make it 3-0, while Hammers head coach Julen Lopetegui stood dejectedly on the sidelines.

This result temporarily moved Enzo Maresca’s team up to second place in the table. It is the first time in Premier League history that West Ham has lost its first three games of a season.
